2014-01-No02 - Unhappy Sasquatches. I painted this one to let off steam after my proposal for a sasquatch-theme art show was turned down by the Gallery Steering Committee at A Guilded Gallery in Stanwood WA. 18" x 24", acrylic on paper, $75.
2012-12-No02 - Tea Party Express. The first car after the locomotive is for PEONS, PEASANTS, AND SERFS. The next car is for BOURGEOIS. The last two cars are for PERSONS OF WEALTH & TASTE. A man with a pitchfork is herding people onto the 1st car. COMMON WOMEN & MEN & ASSOCIATED VERMIN are forced to go up stairs to reach the 1st two cars. LADIES & GENTLEMEN & OTHER FOLK OF WEALTH & TASTE are able to go down stairs to get to the last two cars. A prominent sign tells the people going to the last 2 cars that MANAGEMENT APOLOGIZES FOR THE PRESENCE OF COMMON FOLK ON YOUR TRAIN. GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS REQUIRE THAT WE PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FOR SUCH UNDESIRABLES. You probably get the picture. 18" x 24", acrylic on paper, $75.
2012-03-No02 - Afternoon Tea. "Afternoon Tea" was the theme of a challenge to the members of the Columbian Artists Association to paint a picture to. (How's that for an awkward sentence.) This was my answer to the challenge. Most of the other responses were still lifes of tea sets or people having a quiet afternoon tea.
